Where is it from?

What's the story?

The recipe book was gifted to the Tasmanian Archive and Heritage Office (TAHO) on 27 April1985, by Mrs R B Davies, who staff believe was one of Fannie McRae’s children.

Copyright was not transferred formally to what was then the Archives Office of Tasmania, now the Tasmanian Archive and Heritage Office, as the transfer form in the 1980s did not mention or offer the option of transference of copyright, as the form does today.

Staff, being mindful of copyright issues when assessing whether to digitise the recipe book, attempted to find living family members, without success.

Let's make it

0.75 cup of sugar and two eggs beaten together, add three tablespoons melted butter, a full cup of flour, 0.25 cup cold water in which is dissolved one teaspoon cream of tartar, half teaspoon of soda. Quick oven.
